Bass Unnsteinn Árnason on stage in his native Iceland

His studies and the beginnings of his career as a singer both happened in Vienna, Innsbruck, at the Oper Zürich and at the Bregenzer Festspiele. Now, Icelandic bass Unnsteinn Árnason has accepted his first engagement back home in Iceland: the Imperial Commissioner in Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly”, a part he already brought to life at the Bregenzer Festspiele. The Reykjavik production is directed by Michiel Dijkema, with Levente Török shaping the musical side.
