Soprano Sophie Gordeladze, recently as Elettra in Lisbon and as Gabriele (in Schoeck’s “Schloß Dürande”) in Bern, travels to Erl in Tyrol to unite and contrast folklore and lieder from Germany, Spain, Russia and from her home, Georgia. For the concert on July 10th, she is joined by the Trio Mandili (named after the traditional headscarf worn by Georgian women) whose music video “Apareka”, posted to Youtube in three versions, has gathered more than ten million views by now.
