The Austrian tenor Philipp Kapeller, most recently successful as Tebaldo in Bellini’s I Capuleti e i Montecchi and as Alfred in Johann Strauss’s Die Fledermaus at the State Theatre Braunschweig, is now making his house debut at Deutsche Oper Berlin. In a production directed by Martin G. Berger, Philipp Kapeller takes on the role of Peter Ivanov in Albert Lortzing’s comic opera Zar und Zimmermann. The musical direction is by Antonello Manacorda.
