In 2015, strongly affected by the war in Syria, George Alexander Albrecht composed his “Requiem for Syria”. Unfortunately, its message remains highly relevant, and the work will now be performed by the Bremer Philharmoniker under Marko Letonja at St. Petri Church in Bremen. Valentina Kutzarova takes on the mezzo-soprano part. Later this month, she travels to her Bulgarian homeland where she will be on stage in Varna at the end of the summer as part of the Sonya Yoncheva Opera Gala.
