The MusikTheater an der Wien regularly presents rare works at its second venue, the Kammeroper. This time, it is featuring an oratorio by Austrian composer Marianna Martines, a contemporary of Haydn and Mozart, entitled Isacco, based on the Book of Genesis. In a production by Eva-Maria Höckmayr and under the musical direction of Chiara Cattani, Georgian soprano Sophie Gordeladze will make her Vienna debut as Sara, the mother of Isaac.
