In-between his triumph as Conte Almaviva at Den Kongelige Opera, the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen, and his upcoming house debut at the Welsh National Opera in Cardiff, where he will sing the part of Ramiro this fall, Italian tenor Matteo Macchioni returns to Pesaro, home of the great Rossini and venue of the annual festival in the composer’s honour. As Ali in the lovely one-act farsa “Adina”, shown not nearly often enough, he will refresh his roots with the pure essence of Rossini from August 12th.
