Italian tenor Matteo Macchioni is known as a Rossini specialist and regularly appears at the Rossini Festival in Pesaro. He has performed the role of Don Ramiro in La Cenerentola at venues such as the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen, Welsh National Opera, Leipzig Opera, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, and Maggio Musicale in Florence. He will now perform this signature role at the Stadttheater Klagenfurt. Johannes Braun will lead the music for this new production, with Bernd Mottl directing.
