Jon Svinghammar twice at the Vienna Musikverein

In June, at the Vienna Musikverein, Swedish conductor Jon Svinghammar will twice be on the rostrum for concerts: first with the Vienna Academic Philharmonic with works by Richard Strauss, Carl Maria von Weber, and Anton Bruckner, and later with the Orchesterverein of the Society of Music Friends Vienna offering a programme of Richard Strauss, Bernhard Krol, and Antonín Dvořák. Meanwhile, rehearsals are also beginning for the opera festival Oper Burg Gars, where he will be conducting Verdi’s “Aida” this summer.
