Vienna-based Swedish conductor Jon Svinghammar was supposed to conduct the New Year’s concerts of the Sønderjyllands Symfoniorkester in 2021, but then came COVID-19 and cause the usual cancellations.
Now, it’s finally happening, and he can make up for these missed concerts. With works by Puccini, Verdi, and Massenet to Johann Strauss, Kalman, Suppè, and Lumbye, he creates a sparkling New Year’s Concert that will be performed in Kolding, Sønderborg, Tønder, and Vejle.
