Johannes Wildner conducts a concert performance of Turandot in Shenzhen

With his great ability to communicate the musical and stylistic characteristics as well as the cultural backgrounds of different works to orchestras, Austrian conductor Johannes Wildner is a welcome guest with Chinese orchestras. His performances of all Mahler symphonies and his Beethoven cycle with various orchestras in China, for example, are legendary. Most recently, in June of this year, he conducted Prokofiev’s Second Piano Concerto and Fifth Symphony in Beijing and Guangzhou to great acclaim, marking the 135th anniversary of the composer’s birth. He now appears with the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra in a concert performance of Puccini’s Turandot.
