Dénise Beck in Copenhagen with Pergolesi and in Oslo with Górecki

Dénise Beck, Danish-German soprano, celebrates Good Friday in Copenhagen’s Holmen Church with Pergolesi’s “Stabat mater”. Later in April she sings the soprano part in Henryk Górecki’s Symphony No. 3, also known as the “Symphony of Sorrowful Songs”; the work serves as the musical foundation for an evening of ballet, choreographed by Crystal Pite with the Norwegian Opera at Oslo: “Light of Passage” is a close look at the humanitarian catastrophe caused by the 2015 European migrant crisis.
