The center of gravity of the 2021/22 programme at the Wiener Musikverein is Czech music: “Crossing Borders”. In this context, the Ensemble Kontrapunkte performs Bohuslav Martinůs rarely shown opera “Alexander bis”. Under the baton of Gottfried Rabl, Sophie Rennert lends her voice to Philomène, and Christoph Filler acts the part of Le Portrait.
