After a two-year hiatus, the Vienna Johann Strauss Orchestra under Johannes Wildner is resuming its New Year’s tours: In seven concerts – in Fukuoka, Osaka, Tokyo and other cities – the VJSO presents masterpieces of the Strauss family to discerning listeners, proving once again that good music and good entertainment are forever. Not long after their return, Maestro Wildner and the orchestra travel to the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg for a traditional New Year’s concert: “On The Banks Of The Blue Elbe” presents Viennese music in all its splendor, from the joyful to the melancholic.
