“Spanish Spirit”, so the title of one of the “Sunday at Five” concerts that the Pfalz Philharmonic organises, awaits the audience when Anton Legkii presents a quintessentially Spanish programme with works by Manuel de Falla, Georges Bizet, Gerónimo Giménez and others.
Some weeks later, friends of Italian Belcanto in general and Donizetti in particular are well-served with the première of “L’elisir d’amore” under Mr Legkii’s musical direction, followed by two concertante performances of Verdi’s “Macbeth”.
