Wolfgang Stefan Schwaiger, the Tyrolean baritone, recently collected an impressive amount of accolades across different genres: on the stage of the Oper Köln, he excelled as Dandini in “La cenerentola”; in Antwerp and Ghent, he sang in the Brahms requiem, with the Vlaamse Opera; and last but not least, he picked up yet more praise for his lied recital of Schubert’s “Die schöne Müllerin”, accompanied by Barbara Moser. For the anniversary concerts of the KammerMusikKöln. Mr Schwaiger now follows this with Wagner’s rarely performed “Französische Lieder” and others, arranged for chamber orchestra by Simone Fontanelli.
