Première: Christoph Filler as Koloman Zsupán at the Seefestspiele Mörbisch – from July 12th

Austrian baritone Christoph Filler has racked up a number of successes last season – Danilo, Papageno and Malatesta (“Don Pasquale”) in Munich, and of course his celebrated Dr Falke (“Die Fledermaus”) in Darmstadt – and now looks forward to his next role debut: At the Seefestspiele Mörbisch, he will sing the part of baron Kolomán Zsupán in Imre Kalmán’s “Gräfin Mariza”. The première takes place on July 12th, and the production runs through August 25th.

Filler’s schedule leaves just enough time for him to perform the baritone part in Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana” under the baton on André Gold – the performance on August 17th is part of the Burghauser Konzertsommer.
