In December 2024, Wolfgang Stefan Schwaiger appeared as Schaunard in Puccini’s La bohème at his home theatre, the Cologne Opera. This time, he takes on his signature role as Papageno in the highly successful child-friendly adaptation of Mozart’s The Magic Flute, created by Brigitta Gillessen, Rainer Mühlbach, and Philipp Matthias Kaufmann. The evening’s musical direction is in the hands of Bradley Wood.
