Even as Tyrolean baritone Wolfgang Resch sang his last performance of the part of Moralès in “Carmen” at the Oper Burg Gars Festival, the preparations and rehearsals for Jörg Widmann’s opera „Das Gesicht im Spiegel“ with the Neue Oper Wien were already in full swing. Carlos Wagner and musical director Walter Kobéra are leading the team for this production which will find its first home in the Vienna Museumsquartier before travelling on to the Müpa Budapest.
