Wolfgang Resch in the world premiere of Trennt euch!

An established specialist in twentieth- and twenty-first-century music, Austrian baritone Wolfgang Resch has just appeared in William Walton’s one-act opera The Bear at Vienna’s Musikverein. His next engagement again features a contemporary work: the world premiere of Christian Henking’s opera Trennt euch! at Theater Orchester Biel Solothurn. Wolfgang Resch takes on the role of the Father, one that is also familiar to him from his own family life. Thomas Meyer wrote the libretto after his essay of the same name. Deborah Epstein directs this work about relationships and separations, with Josephine Korda conducting. Following the premiere in Biel, there will be performances in Solothurn and a guest performance in Schaffhausen.
