Created in 1928 and yet as current as the morning paper! Bertolt Brecht’s and Kurt Weill’s social critique “die Dreigroschenoper”, cast in word and song, is on the programme at the Theater Freiburg. German soprano Katharina Ruckgaber, becomes Polly Peachum, the girl who wants to marry underworld king Mack the Knife.
