At the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern, an enthralling soirée juxtaposes Luke Bedford’s 2014 opera “Through his Teeth” and Claudio Monteverdi’s operatic scena „Il combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda“, a madrigal from 1638. The two works share a common aspect – the quest for truth: Is it even possible to distinguish fact from fiction, in a reality as complex as ours? In this unconventional linkage of works created nearly four centuries apart, young conductor Anton Legkii can show his stylistic confidence and his talent in all their many brilliant facets.
