Sophie Rennert recently impressed audiences both as Carmen at the Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich and with a song recital alongside Graham Johnson at London’s Wigmore Hall. In a new production of Handel’s Alcina, conducted by Rubén Dubrovsky and directed by Magdalena Fuchsberger at Munich’s Gärtnerplatztheater, she now returns to the Baroque repertoire as Ruggiero.
