On the heels of her stellar house debut at the Gärtnerplatztheater Munich as Prince Orlofsky in Johann Strauss’s “The Bat”“, mezzo-soprano Sophie Rennert travels to Vienna: With the Accademia Bizantina under the baton of Ottavio Dantone, she sings Irene’s part in Vivaldi’s “Il Tamerlano” at the Musiktheater an der Wien, just as she did in the 2020 recording of this same opera for Naive Edition.
