Sascha Zarrabi in Hoffmanns Erzählungen

Sascha Zarrabi began the new season at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden with outstanding reviews for his interpretation of the “Swan” in Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana.

To mark the 250th anniversary of E. T. A. Hoffmann’s birth, the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden then presents Jacques Offenbach’s Hoffmanns Erzählungen in a new production by Dennis Krauß. Sascha Zarrabi takes on the roles of Spalanzani and Nathanaël. Under the musical direction of Paul Taubitz, a world unfolds in which the boundaries between love, idealised fantasy and deception become blurred.

This is followed by the revival of the highly successful production of Alles Liebe, a “queer rural operetta”. Misha Cvijović and Philipp Amelungsen tell the story of a village discovering diversity and, in the process, confronting its own assumptions and contradictions. Sascha Zarrabi returns as Baron Thor ins Anders in Anna Weber’s production.
