Role debut: Matteo Macchioni sings the part of Ernesto in Donizetti’s “Don Pasquale”

Already a highly-rated Rossini tenor, Matteo Macchioni now extends his repertoire by including Ernesto in Gaetano Donizetti’s “Don Pasquale”. His debut in this role will be witnessed by Genova’s Teatro Carlo Felice, itself fairly young and yet steeped in history and tradition. The production benefits from Renaud Doucet’s and Andre Barbe’s direction and conductor Alvise Casellati’s fresh approach to the classic “Don Pasquale”.
