Music, live and recorded: Sophie Rennert sings Brahms and Vivaldi

Invited by Graham Johnson to contribute to his multi-volume edition of every lied by Brahms, mezzosoprano Sophie Rennert joined the pianist to record the project’s just-released “Volume 10” with him for hyperion records. At the same time, naïve released a new recording of Vivaldi’s “Tamerlano” with the Accademia bizantina under Ottavio Dantone; Sophie Rennert sings the part of Irene.

In Berne, Ms. Rennert’s voice can soon be enjoyed in a concert with Berne’s first and foremost Early Music ensemble, the Freitagsakademie, with rarely heard arias by Vivaldi.
