Baritone Matthias Hoffmann, recently seen in a children’s version of Der Freischütz at the Berlin State Opera and as Masetto at the Staatstheater Braunschweig, is now returning to the Cologne Opera, where he was an ensemble member from 2017 to 2023. In this revival of a production of Georg Frederic Handel’s Giulio Cesare in Egitto by Vincent Boussard, conducted by Rubén Dubrovsky, Matthias Hoffmann will perform the role of Achilla.
