Following his return to the Vienna State Opera as Tito in La clemenza di Tito, a role he had already sung to great acclaim at the premiere, Katleho Mokhoabane once again takes on a varied programme at his home theatre, the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden. He first returns as Alfredo Germont in Verdi’s La traviata, before appearing as the Singer in the production of Thomas Bernhard’s Alte Meister, singing songs by Schubert, Bach and Beethoven. In a song recital with South Korean baritone Jaeyoung Ha and Julia Palmova at the piano, he will perform selected works by Florence Price and several songs from his native South Africa.
