South African tenor Katleho Mokhoabane, a member of the ensemble at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden since autumn 2024, stepped in at short notice in December at the Staatstheater Kassel as Ferrando in Mozart’s Così fan tutte. Over New Year 2024-25, he performs the tenor solo in Ludwig van Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano under Emanuel Tjeknavorian in Milan and Lucerne. His next role in Wiesbaden is Tamino in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, opposite Sascha Zarrabi as Monostatos.
