The German soprano Katharina Ruckgaber is recording songs by Anno Schreier for a portrait CD on the Ecoutez label. The focus is on the Morgenstern-Lieder, accompanied by Klaus Simon on the piano. Following her celebrated debut as Musetta at the Komische Oper Berlin, Ruckgaber will soon be touring with René Jacobs and the Freiburger Barockorchester as Asteria in Handel’s Tamerlano. In the summer, she will also be seen again as Ännchen in the Freischütz at the Bregenz Festival.
