German soprano Katharina Ruckgaber has had hardly a moment of rest in her first year as a freelance artist: After a production, at the Winteroper Potsdam, of “Acis und Galathea”, where she sang the female title role, concerts under Daniele Squeo in Bilbao, and New Year’s concerts in Canada, she returns briefly to her former home, the Theater Freiburg, and can be seen as Polly Peachum in “Die Dreigroschenoper”.
