We are proud and very, very happy to welcome Ian Spinetti, a young tenor from Brazil, to Esther Schollum Artists’ Management. His debut opera performance, Jaquino in “Fidelio” at the Oper Burg Gars in 2019, was widely acclaimed, and his Pedrillo (Mozart, “The abduction from the seraglio”) in 2020 exceeded all expectations.
This season, he combines his calling with another passion of his, bringing music to children: At the Theater Kiel, he is cast in Elena Kats-Chernin’s children’s opera “Jim Knopf und Lukas, der Lokomotivführer”; the libretto, by Susanne F. Wolf, is based on Michael Ende’s famous children’s book of the same name, known to young and old as “Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver”. Spinetti intersperses these evenings with his performances as First Sailor in Purcell’s “Dido and Aeneas” at the Aalto-Theater in Essen.
