Austrian tenor Philipp Kapeller, member of the ensemble of the Staatsoper Hannover, has been invited to sing Jack O’Brien’s part in “Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny”, Bert Brecht’s and Kurt Weill’s masterpiece, in his debut at the Komische Oper Berlin. The production is staged and conducted by the Intendant and the music director of the house, Barrie Kosky and Ainārs Rubiķis.
