War in Ukraine, war in Israel, crises wherever you look. Do art and culture still have a purpose in these times? We say: Especially now! There must be time and space to face the issues of our time; but there also has to be room to engage with beauty, contemplation, and the positive, lest we perish. Art provides support during the crisis and serves as the foundation for its overcoming afterwards. It is sometimes difficult, but we carry on!
