Anton Legkii, Second Kapellmeister at the National Theatre Mannheim since autumn 2024, has already conducted revivals of Don Giovanni, Hansel and Gretel, and La Traviata this season. While rehearsing for his own new production of Domenico Cimarosa’s L’impresario in angustie (premiering 7 February 2025), he is also taking on the musical direction of the family concert The Canterville Ghost, an orchestral narration by Henrik Albrecht based on Oscar Wilde. During its general renovation, the National Theatre Mannheim has been performing since October 2024 in its permanent interim venue, the Opera at Luisenpark (OPAL).
