Sophie Rennert as Frau Reich at the Gärtnerplatztheater

Following a successful series of performances as Rosina in “Il barbiere di Siviglia” and as Cherubino in “Le nozze di Figaro” in Munich and a guest appearance as Piacere in Handel’s “Il trionfo del tempo e del disinganno” in Vienna, mezzo-soprano Sophie Rennert can now be seen as Frau Reich in Otto Nicolai’s “Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor” at the Gärtnerplatztheater. The humorous production is directed by the grande dame of German musical theater, Brigitte Fassbaender, with Rubén Dubrovsky, the new chief conductor of the house, on the podium.
