Maximilian Mayer as Candide at the Theater Kiel

German tenor Maximilian Mayer, who has tackled major Mozart roles such as Tamino, Ferrando, and Don Ottavio, as well as operetta roles like Eisenstein, Alfred, and Rossillon at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz, is launching his freelance career. In an opera-in-concert performance with the Philharmonic Orchestra Kiel, he will sing the title role in Bernstein’s “Candide” before commencing rehearsals for the role of Count René in Leo Fall’s “Madame Pompadour” at the Lehár Festival in Bad Ischl.
