Sophie Rennert and Wolfgang Resch meet at the Lied Festival Zeist

Sophie Rennert and Wolfgang Resch, accompanied by Graham Johnson on the piano, are joining forces for the opening concert of the International Lied Festival Zeist; the programme follows the trail of “Sophiens Reise von Memel nach Sachsen”, the novel by Johann Timotheus Hermes that was a major success some 250 years ago. The path is marked and defined by works by Mozart, Schubert, Schumann, and Wolf based on lyrics by Eichendorff, Scott and Goethe.
