Maximilian Mayer (as Rosillon) debuts at the Opernhaus Dortmund

Maximilian Mayer, the young German tenor, takes on the role of Rosillon in Franz Lehár’s operetta “Die lustige Witwe” (“The Merry Widow”). For the Opernhaus Dortmund, Thomas Enzinger and Jenny W. Gregor have reworked the original operetta into a “Revueoperette” — more of a musical comedy than a plot-driven work —, offering homage to the legendary Berlin production of 1928.
