Young German stage director Kai Anne Schuhmacher already drew wide-spread attention with her productions at the Oper Köln, at the Staatstheater Mainz, at the Theater Altenburg-Gera and at the Nederlandse Reisopera. She also works with unaffiliated groups striving to explore new paths in musical theater and seeking to locate multimedial forms within urban space; and now, with Peter Maxwell Davies’ chamber opera “The Lighthouse”, she offers her house debut as stage director at the Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck.
