In a concert performance of Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia, two Tyroleans will be enjoying a “home game”: Philipp Kapeller, who has just celebrated a major success as Peter Ivanov in Lortzing’s Zar und Zimmermann at Deutsche Oper Berlin, will now appear on stage as Count Almaviva in Brixen and Innsbruck. Wolfgang Resch sings the clever barber Figaro who shows the Count the way to his Rosina.
