Anton Legkii with Italian opera and Mozart in Mannheim

Conductor Anton Legkii shows his versatility in his second season at the Nationaltheater Mannheim. He leads the musical direction for the revival of Ruggero Leoncavallo’s opera Pagliacci. As the Nationaltheater’s main building is undergoing major renovations, the performances take place at the alternative venue OPAL (Oper am Luisenpark). The family concert titled Eine kleine Nachtmusik, in which Anton Legkii and Juri Tetzlaff search for that famous piece and encounter other works by Mozart, is also presented there; and at a venue where the seven-year-old Mozart already astonished audiences — the Schlosstheater Schwetzingen — Legkii will conduct a Mozart Serenade featuring opera excerpts and instrumental works.
