Soprano Li Keng, recently successful as Manon in Puccini’s Manon Lescaut and as Agathe in Carl Maria von Weber’s Der Freischütz, now takes on her first Wagner role: Elsa of Brabant in Richard Wagner’s Lohengrin, a production of Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf–Duisburg, performed in Taiwan. The staging is by Sabine Hartmannshenn; Wen-Pin Chien conducts.
