Fresh from her major successes as Azucena at the Seattle Opera and as Maguerite in Berlioz’s “La damnation du Faust” at the Bellas Artes in Mexico City, French-Canadian mezzo Nora Sourouzian is back in Europe. With the rehearsals for her role debut as Ježibaba in Dvořák’s “Rusalka” in St. Gall just picking up speed, she takes up Azucena’s mantle once again for the Theater St. Gallen Festival production of Verdi’s “Il trovatore”.
