Finally! Swedish conductor Jon Svinghammar and the Landesjugendorchester Tirol get to present their programme “Rhythm and dance” [PDF] at the Festungsarena Kufstein, with a live audience and everything that used to be completely unremarkable before Covid-19 struck. The program comprises Franz Schubert’s “Unfinished Symphony” No. 8 in B minor D 759, Antonín Dvořák’s “Eight Slavonic Dances” op. 46, the “Polovtsian Dances” from Alexander Borodin’s opera “Prince Igor”, and a work for symphony orchestra and tango quintet by the young tyrolean composer duo Michael A. Leitner and Gabriel Bramböck.
