Katharina Ruckgaber, the up-and-coming German soprano, shows off her versatility. At the Theater Freiburg Ms. Ruckgaber’s Zerlina in Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” captivates the audience as much as her Nanetta in Verdi’s “Falstaff”.
At the Oxford-Lieder-Festival, the soprano goes looking for magic with baritone Bariton Ashley Riches and pianist Sholto Kynoch. Successfully, as it turns out: Mozart, Schubert, and Loewe all offer what the artists seek, and what the audience is certain to enjoy. Last but not least she takes on the soprano part in Mozart’s Great Mass in c minor with the Stuttgarter Philharmoniker.
