Fresh from his most recent success as Ernesto in Donizetti’s “Don Pasquale” at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Matteo Macchioni is currently rehearsing for his role as Don Ottavio in Mozart’s “Don Giovanni”, staged by Katarzyna Borkowska and conducted by Daniel Carter at the Theater Freiburg; the eagerly-awaited première is on April 12th.
Just a short week later, on April 19th, the young Italian and two of his tenor colleagues, Fabrizio Paesano and Lorenzo Decaro, can be seen and heard in at the Moscow International House of Music where they will present the show “Three tenors. Legendary arias”, with Alessandro D’Agostini conducting.
