Following two successful years in the opera studio of the Vienna State Opera, the young South African tenor moves to the . In his first season he will perform, among others, as Jaquino in Beethoven’s “Fidelio,” as Tamino in Mozart’s “The Magic Flute,” and as Count Almaviva in Rossini’s “The Barber of Seville.” He will open his season by singing at a gathering of audience and singers on the main stage, reminiscent of the Baroque era when composer Barbara Strozzi hosted musicians and guests in her salon.
