Johannes Wildner “on Tour”

To mark its twentieth anniversary, the has invited Austrian conductor to rehearse and present an ambitious program: Carl Nielsen’s Helios Overture, Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with Tyrolean pianist Michael Schöch, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade.

Following this, he will conduct the in a program titled Viva España, featuring works by composers Joaquín Turina, Joaquín Rodrigo and Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga.

In Berlin, young conductors can gain insights into the Viennese Classical style through a masterclass with the , led by Johannes Wildner. They will study pieces by Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven with both piano and orchestra.
