Hope springs eternal …

The Swiss Confederation has decided to allow cultural events with up to fifty attendees from late April; Austria will supposedly follow suit on May 19th, with up to 1’500 (indoors) or 3’000 (outdoors) guests, but limited to half the available seats, and only if those seats are screwed down and immovable.

On the other hand, Germany has hit the brakes—the measures now in force are even called the “Federal Emergency Brake”—and has essentially made events with live audiences impossible due to the low threshold of acceptable infection rates.

Denmark, France, Italy, Portugal as well as other countries are cautiously reopening, too; as far as we are concerned, any cultural event that actually happens gives us joy. Our current hope is that the increasing numbers of the vaccinated will improve the situation, and we look forward to having a life once more!
